Chicago Patios Perfect for Game Days

Lottie’s Pub

There’s nothing quite like summertime in Chicago, and we are slowly getting towards those long sunny days full of patio drinks, gameday excitement and fun times in our favorite city. Baseball season officially began this week, and we’ve finally started seeing some more sunshine (in between the spring showers). The countdown to summer is officially ON, and we plan on counting down those days on a great patio, drink in hand. It will certainly make the time go by faster…and it supports local Chicago restaurants in the process! Here’s where we’ll be hanging…

Lottie’s Pub {1925 West Cortland Street, Chicago; 773.489.0738}: Decades of beers shared, games watched and fun times had prove that Lottie’s will always be one of the best game day spots in the city. Their intimate neighborhood patio is perfect for happy hour or a game that goes into extra innings (which calls for extra beers).

Jake Melnick's Corner Tap {41 East Superior Street, Chicago; 312.266.0400}: Indoors and outdoors, for brunch or dinner, Jake Melnick’s is perfect for your gameday plans. Sure, their chicken wings are award-winning, but don’t forget about their amazing sandwiches, too! The Sloppy Pig Sandwich, for example, is made with chopped pork & brisket, cheddar cheese, fried onions and KC barbecue sauce. How could you say ‘no’ to that?!

Smoke Daddy {multiple locations}: Summertime is for baseball games and barbecue. And at the Smoke Daddy, you can have both! Their Wrigleyville location makes that combo extra easy, but the Wicker Park spot is equally full of summer fun. Pick the location nearest you, and bring your favorite people for a game, a beer, and some seriously great ribs.

Pilsen Yards {1163 West 18th Street, Chicago; 312.243.2410}: Spread out and enjoy the warmer weather on this expansive Pilsen patio! Grab a few friends, a few tacos and don’t miss the Pina Colada Ceviche - seriously. They’re all best enjoyed with friends, and maybe one of Pilsen Yard’s live music sets! Check their calendar for the latest and greatest in Chicago music.

Federales {180 North Morgan Street, Chicago; 773.831.9696}: Spring is the perfect time to visit this West Loop hot spot! Have a few margaritas or throw an ice shot at their Insta-famous bell while you cheer on your team!

Fuller House {35 East 1st Street, Hinsdale; 630.568.5466}: The suburbs can get in on the patio game, too! You can take advantage of heated tent seating at Fuller House while there's still a chill in the air. It was voted “#1 Neighborhood Bar in the Western Suburbs,” so you can be sure you’ll have a good time and great meal with their team.

HVAC Pub {3530 North Clark Street, Chicago; 773.789.8864}: Two stories of open-air Wrigleyville fun served alongside creative pizzas, beer & cocktails and a great game! There’s always a lot going on at HVAC, and it’s always so much fun. Run, don’t walk!

Parlor Pizza Bar {multiple locations}: And oldie but a goodie for a good reason! Parlor brings in the party people who are looking for a true gameday vibe, any day of the week. Come for the pizza, but stay for the unreal Parlor Pizza Bread! It’s not-to-miss.
