Chicago Spots to Dance Your Face Off

via Blind Barber

Chicago summer nights are meant to be spent laughing with friends, feeling that warm breeze that comes off the lake and spending the weekends dancing the night away. If you’re looking for something fun to do this weekend (or any weekend) follow along as we round up our favorite spots to boogie. Some on the list are classic disco, some are cocktail lounges, and some are just the perfect spot to throw on your dancing shoes and get down with your friends.

Blind Barber {948 West Fulton Market, Chicago; 312.405.9929}

This barber shop by day turned cocktail lounge at night serves up cuts, cocktails and the perfect vibes for a laid back dance party. With its leather sofas, moody lighting and rugged pine walls, you’ll want to frequent this Fulton Market spot for everything from girls’ night to date night.

DISCO at Celeste {111 West Hubbard Street, Chicago; 312.828.9000}

If you’re a Chicago native, or frequent the Chicago cub scene, you’ve probably heard of Celeste. Filled top to bottom with multicolored neon lights, retro wall coverings, and glittering disco balls, this River North hotspot is a disco dream. Plus there are multiple other floors of bars for more and more fun.

via Joy District

Joy District {112 West Hubbard Street, Chicago; 312.651.3979}

Amid the handful of clubs and bars on Hubbard Street, Joy District is undoubtedly one of the most fun. This multi-level venue in the heart of River North is known for its brunch, rooftop, and best of all, nightclub where you and all your besties can dance the night away with some of the city's hottest DJs. All day long, it’s a fun place to be!

Bandit on Two {841 West Randolph Street, Chicago; 312.666.6061}

The well-known West Loop restaurant is even more fun on the second floor. After you’ve finished your meal (or your first round of drinks, let’s be honest), head upstairs! Bandit on Two is bringing a dive bar meets dance club atmosphere to the neighborhood. Equipped with a gold sequin wall perfect for photos and a DJ booth that will get more vibrant as the night goes on.

Kingston Mines {2548 North Halsted Street, Chicago; 773.477.4646}

Tired of the same old club and dance but still want to spend a night out listening to music with your pals? If you answered yes to the above, Kingston Mines is the answer to your prayers. Since 1968, this world-famous nightclub has been serving up blues music to the Lincoln Park neighborhood, and there’s no doubt its legacy is here to stay.

Tree House {149 West Kinzie Street, Chicago; 312.477.3983}

Located right off the Merch Mart Brown Line stop, Tree House brings a touch of nature right into the very heart of downtown Chicago. Seriously, this place is packed with greenery… and fun! Start off with pizza and cocktails before dancing the night away surrounded by nature-inspired decor.

via The Whistler

The Whistler {2421 North Milwaukee Avenue, Chicago; 773.227.3530}

A mixture of a bar, gallery, record label, and music venue, to say The Whistler is multifaceted would be quite an understatement. Varied crowds of suits, college students and artists come from all over Chicagoland to see DJs and live music at this popular Logan Square scene.

The Bassment Chicago {53 West Hubbard Street, Chicago; 312.386.5778}

With a city jam-packed with DJs, it’s nice to get the chance to listen to live music every once in a while. Enter through a secret door below The Hampton Social in River North, and you’ll be met with a taste of a 1960s dance club, complete with live music and cocktails fluttering throughout.
