via The Press Room

Cozy season is HERE and if you loathe Chicago winter, you’re probably layering up on blankets and ordering dinner delivered to eat on the couch. But colder weather doesn’t mean you should deny yourself delicious meals at some of Chicago’s coziest restaurants! These spots are worth leaving the couch and braving the cold for, trust us ;)

Geja's Cafe {340 West Armitage Avenue, Chicago; 773.281.9101}

Nothing says cozy like fondue and outdoor fire pits! Take a break from the cold and head to Geja's Cafe in Lincoln Park, which has been a Chicago staple for more than 50 years. Known for its delicious sweet and savory fondue, this spot is the ultimate intimate date night spot for colder weather.

The Press Room {1134 West Washington Boulevard, Chicago; 312.450.3301}

Dark wood and brick walls fill this vibey candle lit wine bar and restaurant in Chicago’s West Loop. Bite into sophisticated items like raw oysters and your pick of cheeses from their charcuterie boards as you sip on one (or three) of their delicious craft cocktails and extensive list of wines by the glass.

Truth Be Told {1227 East 60th Street, Chicago; 872.315.1319}

This upscale British-inspired tavern nestled off the lobby of The Study at the University of Chicago is the perfect cozy spot for students and young professionals alike. Known for its pub-style atmosphere, great cocktails, and menu items that resemble classic British items (with a twist) there’s something for everyone!

Cafe Bionda {1924 South State Street, Chicago; 312.313.6485}

If you are a true Chicagoan, you will already know Cafe Bionda in the South Loop. But it’s time we spread the word! Bring the whole family along for a meal that tastes straight out of your nonna's kitchen.

Cozy is the name of the game at Marchesa. Candlelight, white tablecloths, gold chandeliers, and dark green hues fill the space in true French fashion at this River North spot.
