Pizza Pizza… Chicago’s Best Pizza, That Is 😉

Pizza Lobo

"Pizza is not a 'trend' it's a way of life." - Anonymous

That quote may officially be anonymous, but we’re pretty sure it was said by a Chicagoan. Because (let’s be honest) in the Windy City, every day is a good day for pizza. From our famous deep dish pies, to delicious oven-baked slices, Chicago knows how to do pizza right. So follow along as we take you through some of our top spots in the city for the best ‘za right now…

Pizza Lobo {3000 West Fullerton Avenue, Chicago; 312.265.1745}

Thin crust pizza, a great patio and tons of drink options to choose from? Say no more! Make your next pizza night a Pizza Lobo night and try one of their many delicious dishes. We suggest the “Bianca” made with garlic oil, mozzarella, ricotta and fresh oregano. You can also always build your own pizza!

Gino’s East

Gino's East {Multiple Locations}

We all know it and love it, and for good reason. Whether you have friends or family in town or just want a slice of classic Chicago pizza, Gino's East is the place to go. If you’re in the mood for a Chicago deep dish, try their Gino’s Supreme with pepperoni or Italian sausage, onions, green peppers, mushrooms. If you aren’t feeling like deep dish (hey it happens!) try one of their many appetizers like homemade Mozzarella Sticks.

Macello {1235 West Lake Street, Chicago; 312.850.9870}

Macello is a fan favorite for cozy meals in the West Loop. With pizza fresh from their wood burning oven, an array of pastas, a ton of wine and pretty much anything else Italian you can think of, it never disappoints. Their extensive menu includes an entire gluten free menu as well, so just about anyone can enjoy this West Loop staple.

Ayo Pizza Café & Shop {953 West Willow Street, Chicago; 312.846.6896}

Need a new pizza spot that isn’t too fancy but still makes you feel right at home, and just has really good pizza? Try Ayo Pizza Cafe! Bites include their Signature Cheese Pizza, mini cheesecakes, BBQ Chicken Pizza and more!

Roots Handmade Pizza {Multiple Locations}

Let’s face it, people come for the pizza… but stay for the Mozzarella Sticks. If the words “housemade” and “hand-stretched mozzarella” grab your attention, you have to stop into one of Roots several locations and enjoy handmade pizza, mozzarella sticks and more. They also just launched new Chicago chef-made pizzas from Chef Brian Jupiter of Frontier and more!

La Barra {3011 Butterfield Road, Oak Brook; 630.861.6177}

Get away from the city for the night and head to Oak Brook to try LaBarra. Dive into one of their Signature Artisan Pizzas made with Ciabatta-style dough, complete with extra virgin olive oil, organic imported tomatoes, plus local and artisan meats and cheeses. Trust us, it’s worth the drive!

Eduardo's Enoteca {1212 North Dearborn Street, Chicago; 312.337.4490}

Eduardo’s Gold Coast menu ranges from items like Lemon Poppy Bucatini and Braised Short Rib to Hot Honey Pizza with vodka sauce, spicy pepperoni, mozzarella, Parmigiano Reggiano, cayenne-infused honey and scallions. No matter what you get, you won’t be disappointed!

via Frasca

Frasca Pizzeria {3358 North Paulina Street, Chicago; 773.248.5222}

Whether you go for the pizza or the extensive wine list, you can’t go wrong with Frasca. The next time you're in, try one of their many pizza options from the wood-fired oven, or one of their pasta dishes like the Risotto Carbonara. They’re always putting delicious twists on your favorite classics!

Fiore Pizzeria {7407 Madison Street, Forest Park; 708.771.3063}

We like Fiore Pizzeria for many reasons, all of them being their amazing food. You truly can’t go wrong with anything at this Forest Park pizzeria. One of the best parts? The menu changes weekly. So while you may not know what menu items are coming next, you can count on there always being amazing pizzas, delicious pastas and decadent pastries to choose from.

Labriola {Multiple Locations}

Labriola is always a good time and a great choice! Start your meal off with their Limoncello Slushie (don’t let the name scare you) made with Limoncello, housemade lemonade and mint syrup, then move on to the Arugula and Prosciutto Pizza for your main course. End on a sweet note with their Italian Almond Cake with layers of almond-flavored cake in the colors of the Italian flag, topped with buttercream frosting. Yum!
