But let’s be real, the holidays can also be STRESSFUL. So if you’re looking for a spot (or two or three) where you can decompress after the winter season, we have you covered. Follow along as we spill the tea on the Chicago restaurants perfect for relaxing.

Ciccio Mio {226 West Kinzie Street, Chicago; 312.796.3316}

If you could describe this popular River North Spot in a few words they would be: classic Italian elegance. As you step through the doors, you will feel like you were teleported into the 19th Century thanks to regal paintings and plush shades of red used throughout the decor. But don’t let the design distract you, the food is amazing too! Try their Paccheri Alla Norma made with smoked eggplant, bianco tomatoes, ricotta salata and basil is just one of their menu stand outs!

Le Bouchon {1958 North Damen Avenue, Chicago; 773.862.6600}

Even the name sounds relaxing, doesn't it? Le Bouchon has been thriving in the Bucktown neighborhood for nearly 30 years. And if you didn’t have the chance to get away this season, this classic French Bistro will make you feel like you’re in the heart of Paris. Enjoy cozy menu items like Onion Tarts and Garlic-y Escargot while you sip on French wines, and just feel the stress melt away.

Gemini {2075 North Lincoln Avenue, Chicago; 773.525.2522}

Gemini, located in Lincoln Park, is ideal for a relaxing night or a meal with your closest friends. Dim lights are spread throughout and quiet chatter fills the evening air as you step inside from a chilly Chicago night. Their Butternut Squash Ravioli is a delicious winter dish!

Mable's Table {1655 West Cortland Street, Chicago; 773.904.7433}

Come one come all to Mable’s Table! This Bucktown restaurant is the very definition of a welcoming family spot - It’s even named after Chef and Owner Anthony Reyes’ mother. Start your evening off right with one of the four Mae’s Macaroni and Cheese recipes but make sure to save room for their epic Cheesesteak sandwich!

Daisy's Po' Boy and Tavern {5215 South Harper Avenue, Chicago; 773.675.8767}

Daisy’s, opened by James Beard winner Erick Williams of Virtue, is bringing comfort cooking and New Orleans fun to Hyde Park. The relaxed, colorful atmosphere will drive all your cares away! Munch on one of their famous Po Boys and sip on a Hurricane with the people who you love most.

Yours Truly Oyster Bar {613 North Wells Street, Suite A, Chicago; 312.643.0580}
