Take a “Getaway in a Glass” with Cocktails from the “Loews at Home” Holiday Offerings

Ashburn Blood Mary

From Loews Chicago O’Hare Hotel {5300 North River Road, Rosemont; 847.544.5300}

• 2 oz. Grey Goose Vodka            

• 1 dash of Worcestershire Sauce        

• 1 dash of Tabasco                   

• 5 oz. Ashburn Bloody Mary Mix (or Bloody Mary Mix of your choice)

• 1 wedge lime/lemon                       

• 1 celery stick                        

• 1 skewer with meats and cheeses

Add dashes of Worcestershire sauce and Tabasco into mason jar, then pour all ingredients into mason jar over ice. Stir gently. Garnish with celery stalk, lemon/lime wedge and skewer of your favorite meats and cheeses.

Keep Your Gin Up

From Loews Chicago Hotel {455 North Park Drive, Chicago; 312.840.6600}

• 1 1/2 oz, blueberry merlot-infused Aviation Gin

• 1 oz, benzinger merlot

• 1/2 oz. lemon juice

• 1/2 oz. simple syrup

• Star anise

Add all ingredients to mixer, except the wine.  Add ice. Shake and strain in a rocks glass over ice. Top with 1 oz. of the benzinger merlot float and garnish with star anise.

It features signature cocktail recipes from properties around the country that can be recreated easily at home. Each recipe is handcrafted locally, with a nod to its home city.
