Swissôtel Chicago is pleased to announce its participation in the 7th edition of the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World. The hotel joins the Italian Cultural Institute of Chicago and the Consulate General of Italy Chicago to welcome Italian Chef Martino Beria for the opening night to a week of events focused on Italian cuisine.
The Week of Italian Cuisine in the World: Opening Dinner with Chef Martino Beria will take place on Monday, November 14 from 6pm to 8:30pm CT at Swissôtel Chicago featuring an eight-course vegan menu. Responding to the theme, “conviviality, sustainability and innovation: the ingredients of Italian cuisine for people’s health and the safeguard of the planet,” Chef Beria will introduce the topic of sustainability and use of seasonal ingredients to dinner guests.
The eight-course vegan dinner inspired by Chef Beria will feature dishes including Mediterranean Style Fried Zucchini Flowers, Romana Style Artichoke on Potato Fondue, Pumpkin Risotto with almonds and fried sage, Amatriciana Style Spaghetti, Plant Based Stew with polenta, Italian Autumn Salad, Pumpkin Mini Tart and Destructed Castagnaccio. The evening will be accompanied by a selection of organic wines, further marrying Italian traditions and sustainability.
