As the city transitions into it the winter scene of lights and frost, LH Rooftop at LondonHouse Chicago embraces the season with its annual transformation: Rudolph’s Rooftop Winter Igloos. Suspended high above the Chicago River, these private, heated igloos offer an intimate escape from the city’s bustle.
Each year, the rooftop is draped in twinkling lights, holiday décor, and just the right amount of nostalgia. Guests are welcome to admire the surroundings with a cocktail in hand, even if they haven’t booked an igloo. Holiday Charcuterie Gift Box Workshop with Cheesescapes and Maverick Wines (Thursday, December 11, 2025 | 6-8 p.m)
Alma invites guests to get creative in a one-of-a-kind Holiday Charcuterie Gift Box Workshop presented in partnership with Cheesescapes and Maverick Wines. Led by the Cheesescapes team, guests will craft and style their own holiday charcuterie gift boxes to take home, while enjoying a personal tasting plate of artisan cheeses perfectly paired with wines from Maverick. Tickets are $70 per person and includes a guided workshop, personal tasting plate, access to discounted wine purchases, and a take-home charcuterie gift box.
Globes on the Terrace (Available daily in December)
A signature Alma tradition, Globes on the Terrace returns this winter to light up Wrigleyville with cozy charm and festive spirit. Each private, twinkling Globe offers a warm retreat for two to six guests, complete with plush blankets, glowing lights, and plenty of holiday cheer. Guests will enjoy a choice between mulled wine or hot chocolate as a welcome beverage (boozy upon request), a build-your-own s’mores station, board games, and a record player to set the mood with classic holiday tunes.

Farm Bar is bringing extra holiday cheer to Chicago with a family-friendly Brunch With Mrs. Claus at both its Lakeview (1300 W Wellington Ave) and Ravenswood (1970 West Montrose) locations on Saturday, December 20 and Sunday, December 21 from 10am-3pm. Join the Greater Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce (GRCC) for the annual Ravenswood Costume Crawl, where local haunts team up for an evening of treats, drinks, and Halloween fun. The Wintrust Magnificent Mile Lights Festival® in Chicago officially starts the holidays for the nation on Saturday, November 18. The 32nd annual festival and parade produced by The Magnificent Mile Association draws over one million visitors to watch Grand Marshals Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and friends from Walt Disney World Resort® lead a magical parade while illuminating one million lights on 200 trees adorning Michigan Avenue.
The festival begins at Lights Festival Lane (401 N. Michigan Ave) on Saturday morning with free family-friendly activities and live music that continues throughout the day. The nation’s largest evening holiday parade steps off at 5:30 p.m. when 40 glittering floats, giant helium balloons, and musical celebrities including Sister Sledge, American Idol finalist Colin Stough, The Sugarhill Gang and The Funky Bunch join the fun. The event concludes with The Wintrust Fireworks Spectacular!
